KING KEKILLE PASSES JUDGEMENT-

KING Kekille was holding court when his soldiers dragged in a poor villager. “He killed a man who had come to rob his house”, said the captain.

“Your Majesty,” said the villager, “I didn’t kill him. He was knocking down the wall of my house and it fell on him.”

“The mason who made the wall is guilty. Bring him here.” Said the King.

“I added excess water by mistake when mixing the clay.” Said the mason,”because the mouth of the pot was too big.”

“The potter is guilty!”

“I made a defective pot because a beautiful girl passed by and distracted me while I was working the wheel,” said the potter.

“That girl is the culprit!” declared the king.

The girl said she had been showing off a lovely pair of earnings she had bought.

King Kekile held the goldsmith responsible and ordered that he be purished. (Criminals in his kingdom were gored by an elephant as punishment.)

The goldsmith made bold to speak: “Your Majesty, I’m very thin. Your elephant’s lovely long tusks will break because they will go through my body and hit the ground. Better he gores the fat shopkeeper next door to me.”

“Hmm….” Said King Kekille thoughtfully. “Punish the fat shopkeeper then!”

HA!

A man went to see the doctor. “You have become very weak,” said the doctor after examining him. “Eat fruit with their skin every day.”

An hour later, the man went back to the doctor complaining of stomach pain.

“What did you eat?” asked the doctor.

“A pineapple with its skin, just as you had advised,” replied the man.
